■ 文殊殿

一进入文殊殿，首先映入眼帘的便是十分庄严的文殊菩萨。

Walking into the Manjushri Bodhisattva Hall, the first thing to catch our sight is majestic Manjushri Bodhisattva.

文殊菩萨，乃四大菩萨之一。其不只是“大智”的象征，还曾为七佛之师、三世觉母。《放钵经》载：“今我得佛，有三十二相八十种好。威神尊贵，度脱十方一切众生者，皆是文殊师利弟子…譬如世间小儿有父母，文殊者，佛道中父母也。”

Manjushri Bodhisattva is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas. In addition to the personification of Great Wisdom, he was once the teacher of the seven Buddhas and mother of all Buddhas of the three times in the ten directions. According to Sutra, “The enlightenment of all Buddhas, manifesting as their thirty-two marks and eighty secondary marks, and their taking across all sentient beings, are all attributed to the teaching of Manjushri Bodhisattva. Just like children have parents, Manjushri Bodhisattva is precisely the parents of the attaining of Buddhahood,” said Shakyamuni Buddha.

我们玉佛禅寺的文殊菩萨圣像，由铜铸贴金塑成。文殊圣像手持如意，象征无上智慧、万事如意。

The Manjushri Bodhisattva statue in our temple is made of bronze, and gilded in gold. The Ruyi in his hand symbolizes the supreme wisdom and good luck in everything.

■ 普贤殿

另一侧，也就是文殊殿的对面即为普贤殿。我们于文殊殿与普贤殿中，常年开放抄经公益活动。我们还于去年推出了生日抄经活动，有兴趣的信众可以来到文殊殿与普贤殿沐手抄经，体会都市快节奏生活中的那份岁月静好。

The Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Hall is located just on the opposite side. The activity of ure copied with a writing brush is available inside both Halls all year round.

A reservation on one’s birthday month also can be made in advance. Interested could come and get down to copy ure, making it a moment of enjoying tranquility and a getaway from the fast-pace of city life.

普贤菩萨，是佛教四大菩萨之一。在娑婆世界里普贤菩萨与文殊菩萨，并为释迦牟尼的两大胁侍。所以普贤殿与文殊殿分别建于大雄宝殿的两侧。文殊菩萨驾狮子侍在释尊的左侧，普贤菩萨则乘白象侍在右侧。

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas.

Both Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and Manjushri Bodhisattva contribute equally as two assistants to Shakyamuni Buddha in this Saha World.

For this reason the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Hall and the Manjushri Bodhisattva Hall are built on both sides of the Grand Hall.

Manjushri Bodhisattva riding on a lion is placed on the left of Shakyamuni Buddha, while Samantabhadra Bodhisattva riding on a white elephant is on the right.

普贤菩萨是大行愿的象征，他曾经在过去无量劫中行菩萨行、求一切智，修集了菩萨救护众生的无边行愿，完成求佛者的志愿，并广发普贤十大行愿，以此为众生成就如来功德的主要法门。

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva represents Great Vows and Great Conducts. Immeasurable kalpas ago, he has ever practiced the bodhisattva way and sought all wisdoms, and accumulated bodhisattvas’ innumerable vows and practices of saving sentient beings to achieve the aspirations of bodhisattva practitioners. He has Ten Great King Vows, which are the guidelines in practicing Buddhism, and cultivating the Buddhist Way.

■ 普贤十大愿王

一者礼敬诸佛；二者称赞如来

三者广修供养；四者忏悔业障

五者随喜功德；六者请转法轮

七者请佛住世；八者常随佛学

九者恒顺众生；十者普皆回向

First, Pay homage and respect to all Buddhas. Second, Praise the Thus Come Ones. Third, Make abundant offerings. Fourth, Repent misdeeds and evil karma. Fifth, Rejoice at others’ merits and virtues.

Sixth, Request the Buddhas to turn the Dharma wheel. Seventh, Request the Buddhas to remain in the world. Eighth, Follow the teachings of the Buddhas at all times. Ninth, Accommodate and benefit all living beings. Tenth, Transfer all merits and virtues universally.
